My Mini Shop of Horrors

For as long as I can remember I’ve had a passion for insects.  I’ve been fascinated and intrigued by the underdogs of the animal world.  I’ve owned reptiles since I was 8- a red-eared slider named Cleopatra and a Madagascar lined day gecko named Macho.  As an adult my career path became animal welfare where I had the opportunity to change the lives of animals of all kinds.  When I became a mom I decided I need to slow down and leave the fast paced world of animal rescue (although I still remain part as a volunteer).  During the COVID lockdown I had the honor of caring for a gravid bold jumper that I named “Arachne”.  She was intelligent, friendly and stole my heart.  This influenced my decision to breed jumping spiders, first as a hobby but soon becoming a profession.  Since opening my shop I’ve bred mantids, millipedes, moths, butterflies, stick insects and more!  Insects are more dimensional than we give them credit for and it’s always been an honor to share my knowledge with the world.
